    • Egcekeni Primary School made a splash at the Highbury Preparatory School basketball tournament on October 4, 2024, marking a significant first for the school. The tournament, held at Highbury Preparatory in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, attracted a diverse range of primary schools from across KZN and beyond. Teams were hosted by Kersney College in Hillcrest, providing a supportive environment for the competition. While Egcekeni Primary School competed in the tournament, their participation marked a valuable learning experience, enabling them to gain significant experience in the rigorous competitive environment. This inaugural foray into such a large-scale tournament provided Egcekeni Primary with an invaluable opportunity to test their skills against other top-tier primary schools and learn from the experience.
